New life in Brazil...

I have finally arrived in Brazil!

So many new things...

The language has already been an interesting obstacle....lots of blank looks, until someone realises I don't understand!! Have already chatted with two of the girls about having mini portuguese lessons in the afternoons....I will be able to understand the language before I leave Brazil!

The city looks so different from England, everything looks a little warn and broken, and seeing tiny houses hanging to a hillside was really sad....the world has such a massive divide between rich and poor, its not fair

I now have to really think about going to the toilet and remembering not to put the toilet paper down the loo but in the bin next to it (not a very nice smell, especially in this heat!)

Just starting to unpack - bed sheets on (got a bottom bunk, YAY!!), photos hanging up, now to re-arrange my suitcases as I will be living out of them, as there is no storage in the bedrooms. In the bedroom, there are two sinks, a toilet and 2 showers - but NO shower curtains or doors, so going to be very interesting about working out how that works - not going to be naked in front of anyone just yet!!!

Attached is a picture of my new room...

My bed is the one with the red sheet hanging at the back of it - to the left of it is the sinks and bathroom.
Well Im off to unpack - and to have a nap, constant new things is very tiring!!
