I have now moved into my new home for the next year...The Lighthouse which is a Community centre, for the surrounding slums. Here we encounter over 100 children a week through various activities we run... swimming lessons, bible stories, basic education, sports clubs, general discipleship. We also work with a school and run their extra curriculum programme on a Wednesday. We have people that go into the community and build relationships with people and look at how best we can help people plus more!
It is coming to the end of the year, so programmes are stopping for the summer holidays here so next year new groups will start and some of the groups that run this year will also continue....so next year I will write more about what I will actually be doing, but I already know I am going to be working with others with the school programme, so I am really excited!

This is an amazing tool to help the children learn something new, and to build their confidence and do something that otherwise they probably would not get to learn or experience
