Survived...

Have you ever prayed a prayer, and not really through through the consequence of it?

Well I have been asking God, about why I am involved in groups here at the Lighthouse and that I don't see how they are going to develop and stretch me, it all seemed to easy for me....

Above is one of those prayers where I did not think about the consequence.....It has been one tough week or so!! Groups have certainly not been easy they have been really stretching me, in my abilities and in the area of language, and with me saying at the end of each group....YAY I survived!!

The children and young people (mainly from the school groups) are going through a phase of 'how much can we push Eleanor'...but saying comments (after they ask me something and I have said no) 'Oh she doesn't understand us, ask the other teacher' or doing the thing I told them not to do anyway, and then ignore them when I talk about the consequence of their actions. I finished work on Wednesday sooooo tired, mentally, emotionally and physically.

This just seems to have been the longest week for me; my work load has increased too, as the new school came to the Lighthouse this week (see other post).

Plus I had my first Portuguese lesson....2 hours of only Portuguese, by the end of it my tongue was tied and couldn't say any words properly! But it went well and I enjoyed it, my teacher is really good and patient! So I have homework from my lesson too to add to my schedule. One of the things I have to do it learn 5 new words, and my favourite one I have learnt so far is....

Sobreviver - to survive

[God, can I take back my prayer - groups are stretching me enough?!?!]
