I drove the Combi for the first time...
This is just slightly bigger than my Ford KA I drove at home!
Well, we are both (Joachim who works on the base was teaching me) alive still!
Laura and Felipe's house still has their living room in one piece (couldn't find the break so was very close to smashing their house!!)
My face has now turned back to it's normal colour - and not bright red and radiating heat!
(I was really quite nervous! Brazilians drive a little crazy and I am not use to a non-power steering car, and having to remember which side of the road to drive on, oh and the massive hills here!!!!!)
Sounds terrible doesn't it?! ...it wasn't it was actually really quite successful!
I will have another practice on Friday with Joachim, and then he thinks I am all good to go!
I will be a YWAM base driver!
I am really excited about this as I do love driving (slightly different feel in the Combi though). But I am excited to be able to bless people I work with by helping them out by being an extra driver.
