A day for ME!

I had a lie-in today, and decided at 10am that I was going to do something exciting, something different, something that I would enjoy. The weather is beautiful day...it is actually sunny!!
I showered, and then had breakfast - I wanted to custard with banana's, so I had that, who said you have to have certain foods at each meal!

I remember someone mentioning that not far from my area was an area with various stalls, crafty type shops and cafes, and there was a Brazilian cafe!
So off I went in search for 'Merton Abbey Mills' and the Brazilian cafe...
I found the cafe - and loved looking in it as it had various Brazilian foods and drinks that I know you cannot get in the UK...so if I really got the craving I could make proper black beans! Anyway, I sat in the sun outside on brightly coloured picnic benches eating Açai....yummy!!
I mooched around for a bit looking at the shops. I then decided to go to a large park that was near by...it was beautiful to be surrounded by so much green and peace and the sun shine, so I decided to walk around for a while, and loved walking through the rose garden, just beautiful!
I walked through the park and noticed a sign post for a farm, which is free, so I thought why not! So I walked to the farm, and I now understand that it is best to go with little people who would appreciate way more than most adults, and why it was free! Not many animals, but it was nice to wonder around...
Just before I decided to leave my morning adventures behind me, I decided to relish it a little longer and paddle in the river in the refreshingly cold water and just 'be'...
It was really nice for me to do something different, it refreshed me. I think I need to do more 'ME' days in the future. It made me realise how important it is to do something fun, for our wellbeing to benefit ourselves, to step outside the world for just a few hours to escape reality I guess...as it indirectly helps us, to re-focus and be able to cope with all that is around us.

Anyway....my tip - Everyone needs to have a 'ME day'....what would you do if you have just a few hours to do something for yourself?!
