Police Presence...

Things have seemed to calm down in the last now. No more buses have been burnt, and the helicopter has been flying over the slum less. People have still been protesting in the slum, but more peacefully.
But there is certainly a police presence in the slum...

Police are in the slum a lot and staying near bus stops and actually even travelling behind the buses. The government believe this is to help protect the people, but actually it is causing tension and restlessness for the people of Cafezal Slum...so pray for this is still much needed.

On another note - the police officer that shot the two innocent people in the slum - which is believed to have started all of this, was arrested and found hung in his cell - He had killed himself. So please pray for his family and work colleges.

This situation is so complex, and no one really knows the 100% truth about any of it. But thankfully now no one else has been killed. But please pray for justice and peace to reign in the slum, between the people and the police. Pray for wisdom for the police in how they do their job.
