Innocence...

In my girls group this week, we decided to make crowns with the girls as their craft activity. We have been looking over the last few months about who they are in Christ.....special, a child of God, adopted, a daughter, forgiven, a masterpiece, and royalty. So making making and decorating crowns to wear as they are a princess made perfect sense.
The activity went really well (sorry didn't take any photos - too busy helping the girls with the glitter!)...glitter and writing on their crowns. They all looked awesome.

We then went to the park to celebrate a birthday and to play. All of the girls had their crowns on, and where happily playing on the swings, in the 'castle' or picking flowers. They just went about and did what they want, without a care in the world, and with such a sense of innocence about them with their crowns on. It reminded about how we all have a crown on our head, we are royalty of The King - God. We wear our invisible crowns every day but how many of us remember this?

They also shone with joy, with happiness, that they could just be children for the next thirty minutes, that they didn't have to deal with their problems (and they really do have problems!), it was just a really beautiful sight to see...
