Do you want to save a life?

In rural Papua New Guinea 1 in 7 women die giving birth

This statistic can be reduce by you...here is the opportunity for you to save lives.

The non-profit organisation I work for is involved with things all around the world. They have a medical ship in Australia which travels to Papua New Guinea (PNG) which offers simple, basic health care that changes people's lives, for more information about the ship and their work click here

I would like to support the work their are doing by spreading the news about how we can help. I am doing it now as in Brazil this weekend it is Mothers Day....and we...you -  could be part of saving mothers lives...

It is really simple...The people aboard the ship are calling for our help to create or donate 'Birthing Kits'...these simple and cheap kits can save lives, by providing the basics needed to create a clean environment for delivery of a precious life into the world...

Below is a video of how you can create your own birthing kit, it is done by Adriel Booker and she has started this idea of 'bloggers for birthing kits' and I think it is an awesome idea, to see more about it and some more information about the need click here...

Or if you do not have the time to create a birth kit, you could simply donate through the website... http://www.ywamships.org/give.html
[please write: bloggers for birth kits in the comment box]

For example if you donate $10AUD which is £6.55 or R$17.30 you would be saving 5 lives, as it will make 5 birthing kits....I am 100% sure that a life is worth more than $2.

So what do you think - do you want a save someones life?

  1. Love it Eleanor! Thank you so much for blogging about B4BK and for helping to spread the word!! I'm just so thrilled with the turn-out: something like 210 kits donated now in just three days. AWESOME. Appreciate your willingness to jump on board. xx
