On Monday we will receive a short talk from someone.
Generally about something they have been learning from God. Today I led this time and spoke about being vulnerable, that we need to humble ourselves before God and people and share our problems, our temptations, otherwise we become vulnerable to attack from the devil. (If you would like to know more please ask - as this isn't the focus of my post)
Tuesdays we pray for ourselves as a team.
When I lead this time I like to be creative, instead of just dividing into groups and praying for each other. One week I got the team to look at their gifts and abilities, and how we are all different but each needed in the team, and then we prayed. We looked at ourselves by drawing round our hands, putting on our finger prints and then writing a gift on each of the fingers...
I have also adapted an idea from a friend, and made Jesus out of salt-dough and put Him in the centre of the table. I then gave everyone salt-dough and they had to make themselves or something that represented how they are feeling, and put it around Jesus. I looked at how Jesus was human and how he understands what we go through...
On Wednesday we pray for the community we live and work in...
On Thursday we pray for the nations...

I love our times in the morning, it really helps start your day the right way, focusing on God, and not just focusing on yourself and everything else that you need to do.
