Today I helped the English team that are here doing their Outreach....and they decided to do a 'roller disco' for a children from the community aged 8-16. They organised games to play on skates and with music too. It was a awesome afternoon and we had about 45 children, more wanted to come but we were limited with skates. It was a really new experience - they have nothing like roller disco's here in Brazil, plus many of the children skated for the first time today. Here is the afternoon in pictures...
Need to put our skates on first! |
First time skater....knee pads and helmet safely on - now to let go of the fence!! |
All the children sitting and listen to a quick story about how Jesus changed someone's life. |
My Skating buddy - if I let go of him, he just fell straight to the floor!! |
Our very helpful skating clown - the kids loved him! |
Friends helping each other - was really nice to see the other children help each other try and skate |
One of the few children that could really skate well....he was so quick! |
Just having a real nice time skating with friends and listening to music |
There were SO many funny moments of children falling over...but they all got back up straight away and tried again - no injuries, maybe a few sore bums though! |
Then sadly....time to take off our skates and put them away. |
it looks like you guys had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see many skates used at one time. I will let our church team know you have had fun with them. They were very kind helping us to get them out to you, as they are very heavy and took a large amount of precious weight up.
